DIY Honey Oatmeal Mask

Bring the spa experience at home with just three ingredients found in your pantry! In collaboration with Posh Nails PH, I made this DIY Honey Oatmeal mask tutorial video that’s perfect for all skin types. It’s an amazingly easy mask to add to your weekly skincare regimen!

Ingredients:

2 tbsp. Steel Cut Oats

2 tbsp Honey

2 tbsp Lemon

1 tbsp Lukewarm Water

Instructions:

Just mix all the ingredients in a small dish using a spoon or a small stick until it forms a paste; refrigerate for at least 30 min. before applying to your face. Apply to your face with a mask brush (or unused/newly cleaned foundation brush) or your hands. Once applied, wait 15 minutes and then rinse face off with cold water.

Benefits:

Oatmeal

For Acne: It soaks up excess oil in skin and helps treat acne because it contains Zinc, a mineral proven to reduce inflammation.

For Sensitive/Dry Skin: It also contains Saponin, a chemical compound, known for its natural cleansing activity. It helps declogs pores and acts as a natural exfoliator, making it perfect for people with sensitive skin types!

Honey

Honey is the ingredient that will give you that baby-like skin after rinsing it off. It has antibacterial and antioxidant properties that help nourish aging skin.

Lemon

The citric acid content helps fade those stubborn dark spots and since this is mixed with the other two ingredients, it won’t sting your face as much.

Together, these ingredients help balance your skin’s pH and give your skin that “airbrushed” glow after the mask. Try it yourself!
