This 45 minute to 1 hour Zoom call (or even FaceTime if you prefer!) is a chance for Kathlyn to get to know you, your skin and how she can best assist you and your skin goals. This will be a very relaxed setting so come as you are, bare-faced if you want to!
The Process:
Once you book, you will get redirected to a form you have to fill out prior to the consultation.. This comprehensive form asks questions about your skin history, current skincare routine or lack thereof, budget, expectations, overall diet and lifestyle habits (basically a little bit about your life) and it contains instructions on how to proceed with the consultation. Kathlyn believes in a ‘less is more’ approach so she will address what you need first and only suggest products and methods that will be of primary benefit to you.Since she advocates for the overall health of your skin, she may tackle some areas on nutrition and lifestyle as well. Her recommendations are always curated based on your skin concern, lifestyle and budget. Kathlyn recognizes that lasting results do not only come from a skincare regimen fit for your skin type but also through sustainable healthy habits.
As someone who has gone through adult acne herself, Kathlyn recognizes that this won’t be a fast journey but it is progressive as long as you stick to the recommended routine. Since she won’t be physically there to deep clean your skin, the majority of the progress relies on your dedication and newly formed healthy habits. It will be worth it! Rest assured, throughout your skincare journey with her, she will be explaining everything you need to know about skincare and you will be a guaranteed skin care geek yourself! Follow-Up Skin Consultation

A follow up consultation is optional for clients but is highly encouraged so that Kathlyn can assess your progress.
Usually follow-up consultations are done every 1-2 months to give ample time for your skin to get used to the routine.
Since our skin’s turnover rate becomes slower as we age, major changes are typically observed at a slower pace. Skincare takes time & patience – keep this in mind when you’re starting out a new routine.
Follow up consultations will also give clients a chance to update Kathlyn with what’s new with their daily lives, or if there are changes that might affect their current routine. Kathlyn will then expertly assess if there is a need to tweak your routine, or keep it the same.
Clients must know that these consultations aren’t an instant fix for your skin. Long-term benefits and results will be more rewarding. Kathlyn will help you understand not only the basics of skin care but how to apply a holistic approach to your overall health. She will cheer you on your way to healthy and radiant skin!

What if I currently have medication prescribed by a dermatologist? Do I need to stop?
Kathlyn works with you to reach your skin goals. She works with your current routine, and not against it. If you are currently prescribed with medication, she will most likely suggest products that will go hand-in-hand with your medication. Since she has a holistic approach, she doesn’t only focus on products but will encourage healthier habits to achieve not just your best skin but your best self. Note that Kathlyn’s services are not a replacement for your dermatologist consults as licensed estheticians are only limited to treating conditions that lie in the epidermis. What you get from her consultations are sustainable product suggestions, routine guides and lifestyle suggestions that will enhance your understanding of self-care.
Is there an option to pay in installment?
Yes it’s possible but 50% down payment is required prior to any consultation services. The remaining balance must be paid immediately after the consultation.
